71-year-old feels reborn after switching to stevia

My blood sugar was way too high, so I did what the Doctor told me to do, and started using Stevia instead of sugar as well as 100% wholemeal bread that I make at home.
I don't need to take the tablets any more. My blood sugar level has gone right down and I feel terrific. I only eat sugar free chocolate that has stevia in it, occasionally. Have lost a lot of weight and feel terrific.
Am 71 and walk when I can, usually I park and walk as this street is not good. Did a lot of walking yesterday when my daugher took me up to Coffs Harbour (about 1 hour north of here) and we did a lot of walking in the huge shopping centre there. Had to walk fast to keep up with her so that did me a lot of good.
She is over 6 feet tall and is the shortest of my children! My husband who died 7 years ago, had a brother who was 6'7" who died in a plane crash. My husband was on Dialysis for 16 years and the specialist said that he only lasted that long because he was a vegetarian. He had a massive stroke and only lived a week.
I have whole grain porridge for breakfast and as it is now winter here, I make soup with lots of vegetables in it as well as dried peas, lentils etc. Eat it with 100% wholemeal bread. When I have rice, it is wholegrain brown rice. Takes longer to cook but that is o.k.
It has certainly done me a lot of good!
